Prof. Rotimi Jaiyesimi is a distinguished medical professional with a strong background in obstetrics and gynaecology. He graduated from the University of Ibadan’s College of Medicine in 1978 and went on to earn prestigious qualifications, including Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, 1988) and Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS, 1986). He was later elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG, 2002).
Currently, Prof. Jaiyesimi serves as Group Associate Medical Director at Mid and South Essex University Hospitals, while maintaining an active clinical practice. He holds a master’s degree in medical law and provides expert medical witness services in various jurisdictions. With extensive experience in the UK, he has delivered services in endoscopic surgery, subfertility management, and general obstetrics and gynaecology.
Prof. Jaiyesimi brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, legal knowledge, and cultural sensitivity to the conference. His multidisciplinary approach enables him to address the complex intersection of medical, legal, and cultural factors in fertility practice.
