Ass. Prof. (Dr.) Roshan Z. Zaid

Current medical strategies for Endometriosis to improve fertility

A/Prof. Roshan Zaid is a UK-trained Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a focused interest in fertility, reproductive medicine surgery and women’s health across the lifespan. Currently based at South West Healthcare, Warrnambool, Victoria, she is the Director for Public IVF Victoria and plays a leading role in expanding access to equitable fertility services in regional Australia.

She holds dual fellowships from RANZCOG and RCOG, and a Certificate of Completion of Training (UK), with over 15 years of clinical experience, including surgical expertise in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and open fertility-related procedures. Her clinical work centres on infertility, early pregnancy complications, and hormonal disorders including PCOS and menopause.

As Associate Professor with Deakin University, she is a passionate educator and research supervisor, mentoring medical students, GP registrars, and SIMGs. She contributes to fertility and gynaecology training through roles such as MRCOG Part 3 faculty member, Basic Practical Skills course author, RANZCOG examiner and OGET primary trainer.

A/Prof. Zaid is committed to developing multidisciplinary fertility and gynaecology services tailored to regional communities, integrating clinical excellence with advocacy and sustainable service models.
