Mrs. Umo Akinselure is a Fertility Counsellor at The Bridge Clinic, where she has supported clients since 2018. With formal training from Relate Africa and the Institute of Counselling (Glasgow), she provides emotional care to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments — including surrogacy — helping them maintain stability and resilience throughout the process and beyond.

Umo participates in weekly clinical meetings, allowing her to offer psychosocial support that aligns with current medical practice. She also facilitates internal ethics workshops and contributes to upholding international quality standards through The Bridge Clinic’s ISO-certified processes.

Her work is rooted in empathy, professionalism, and a deep commitment to client well-being. She has attended multiple fertility conferences, including those organized by AFRH, and is inspired by the scripture:

“The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary….” (Isaiah 50:4)
