Dr. Chettiar Shiva Shankaran is a distinguished researcher and entrepreneur with a doctorate from Gujarat University. With extensive experience in renowned national and international laboratories, including CCMB and Nebraska Medical Centre, USA, and William Beaumont Medical Institute, Detroit, he has established a strong foundation in research and innovation.
His impressive research portfolio includes over 45 high-impact publications and numerous international awards from prestigious organizations such as ARVO, ASHG, HS Foundation, and ESHG. As a visiting faculty and mentor in four national universities, he has guided and inspired the next generation of researchers.
Dr. Chettiar Shiva Shankaran’s innovative spirit is evident in his eight designs and IPR credits in microarray and NGS. As a successful entrepreneur, he founded GeneXplore Diagnostics and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd., and nine other companies, including Medisquare, Anagram ATGC, Crisptales, and Swaja Diagnostics.
Currently, Dr. Chettiar Shiva Shankaran serves as a consultant at IIPH, BJ Medical College, and Indian Red Cross, and has led eight national and international research projects on genomics as PI and Co-PI.
