Dr. Akinwunmi Femi AKINSANYA graduated from the prestigious College of Medicine University of Ibadan in 1995. He obtained a master’s degree in Human Reproduction and Development from the famous University of Bristol, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS), Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He obtained Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgery from CICE, France and Delhi, India. He also bagged a Fellowship in Robotic Surgery from World Laparoscopic Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana, India.
Until lately, he had been a lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences (OACHS), Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago-Iwoye and a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, Ogun State.
He has authored and co-authored many publications in top peer-reviewed journals locally and internationally. He is an external examiner at various tertiary institutions across the nation.
With almost two decades to his credit, he practices as a reproductive endocrinologist and fertility expert at the magnificent center for fertility, gynaecological endoscopy, women and new-born health, “HEALING SPRING HOSPITAL”, LEKKI LAGOS
He is a member of many local and international associations/societies e.g. Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON), Association for Fertility and Reproductive Health (AFRH), Association of Fetomaternal Medicine Specialists of Nigeria (AFEMSON), American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), International Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ISGE), etc.
He is well-sought after as a researcher and a speaker both locally and internationally.
