Dr. Rajalaxmi Walavalkar is a distinguished medical professional with a strong background in reproductive medicine and IVF. After graduating in medicine from India, she pursued advanced training in the UK, earning Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine (FRM). Her extensive experience in the UK includes working at renowned institutions such as Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and Homerton University Hospital in London.
Dr. Walavalkar holds additional international qualifications in Urogynecology from Germany and Non-Invasive Cosmetic Gynaecology from the USA. As the Medical Director of Cocoon Fertility, a respected IVF center in India, she continues to make significant contributions to the field. Her leadership roles include Founder Chair of the RCOG-India Liaison Group and Honorary Joint Secretary of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Maharashtra State.
A prolific speaker, educator, and author, Dr. Walavalkar has delivered over 300 presentations at national and international conferences and has published several research papers. She serves as a peer reviewer for JOGI and writes a regular column, “Fertility Corner,” in The Times of India. Dr. Walavalkar is a passionate advocate for patient education and women’s health, and her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Times Power Women Award and the IMA President’s Award for Excellence in Fertility Care.
