Redefining Embryo Selection in IVF: A Non-Invasive Approach to Preimplantation Genetic Testing
Mrs. Obasa-Gbadebo is a highly accomplished Clinical Embryologist with a strong academic and
professional background in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and genetics. She graduated
with a First-Class Honors degree in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of Lagos,
Nigeria, and subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology from Monash
University, Australia.
Over the years, she has continually advanced her expertise through extensive training and
international exposure. She has participated in numerous webinars and hands-on workshops,
including IVF and PGT laboratory training at IVI, Spain, online workshops with Kitazato and
Vitrolife Academy, series of webinars in ART and Genetics and specialized courses with Quartec
GmbH, Switzerland.
Driven by a keen interest in fertility preservation and evolving reproductive technologies, an
area that aligns with the vision of Nordica Fertility Centre; she has undertaken advanced
training in ovarian tissue cryopreservation, including participation in the 8th ISFP Congress in
Tokyo, Japan, and an intensive course at the University Gynaecological Clinic, Düsseldorf,
Germany.
Mrs. Obasa-Gbadebo has been an integral part of Nordica Fertility Centre for over seven years,
where she currently serves as the Head of the Laboratory and Genetics Unit. Her dedication to
excellence in clinical embryology and reproductive medicine is further reflected in her active
membership in several professional organizations, including the Association for Fertility and
Reproductive Health (AFRH), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology
(ESHRE), and the International Society for Fertility Preservation (ISFP).
With her strong academic foundation, hands-on expertise, and leadership in the field, Mrs.
Obasa-Gbadebo continues to contribute significantly to advancements in ART, genetics, and
fertility preservation.
